A large number of people are living outside India. Among them a good percentage belongs to lower and middle income group. This large group of middle-lower income group faces many fundamental problems during their life in the Gulf/other foreign countries and also when they return to their homeland. The saving habits and rehabilitation facilities available to them are not very promising.
PWC is registered in India under the Central Literary, Scientific & Charitable Societies Act has international jurisdiction. The Council’s main objective is to strengthen the ties of NRIs and PIOs with their roots in India. It strives to make them part and parcel of their motherland, though living and working abroad.
PWC has facilities to assist its members in as many areas including providing educational facilities at different levels, providing medical care in India, helping with legal redress, real estate transactions, and so on.
No doubt that there are wonderful schemes of the Government of India; all built for progress of the poor. Most unfortunately these do not reach the poor but are siphoned away by miscreants who are middlemen and corrupt officials. It is a pity that these classes of people of our country are not served well at all despite the resolve of the Government towards these people.
PWC is implementing a programme on Information and Public Awareness using Electronic, Print & Postal Media Some families of Non Residents may want to settle property related or other disputes out of court. To this effect, they may go in for a family settlement agreement which needs to be signed by all the members acknowledging that this agreement wasn’t made through fraudulent means, force and coercion from any family member. Not just property or immovable assets, shares, claims, family feuds, are also areas where a family settlement agreement by PWC is useful.
